On the Trail

Tahltan Outfitters camps are nestled among scenic mountains, grassy meadows, and intricate swamp systems. This breathtaking British Columbia scenery along with the top quality trophy animals creates a memorable adventure for hunters and observers alike.

Our Hunting area is only accessible by float plane, or a week long horseback ride. At the start of hunting season we load up our 30 head of healthy, hearty mountain horses for a 7 day pack-in journey. Riding through areas well-traveled by Moose, Caribou, Wolf, and Grizzly Bear and arriving safely at camp to take you on your hunting adventure of a lifetime. Our horses are all very experienced and quite, they do the hard walking and heavy lifting so you can enjoy your hunt!

There is a weight restriction of 250lbs for our horseback hunts as it is very physically taxing for both our hunters and our horses. We do have Moose Lake Hunts available for our guests who do not meet these restrictions and anyone looking for a less physically demanding hunt.
